Welcome to the Youth Human Rights Commission of Humboldt County!

Hi there! We’re so glad you’re here!

We’re a group of passionate and diverse youth from all over Humboldt County who care deeply about making our community a better, more fair, and inclusive place for everyone.

Our website is full of info about what we do, why it matters, and how you can get involved. Whether you’re just curious or looking to take action, you’re in the right place!

We usually hold monthly meetings that are open to the public and happen both in person and on Zoom—so it’s easy to join from wherever you are!

Right now, our meetings are on a short summer break, but we’ll be back starting in September (exact day and time TBD). Stay tuned for updates!

Take a look around, get inspired, and don’t be afraid to reach out. Thanks for visiting! 💙

What We Stand For

Mission Statement:

The Youth Human Rights Commission of Humboldt County is dedicated to addressing the wants, needs, and challenges of youth, and to empowering youth towards self advocacy.

What We Do

Advocacy

Raise Awareness

Our advocacy programs focus on raising awareness about human rights issues and promoting social justice. We engage in community dialogues, educational campaigns, and collaborative projects to drive positive change and empower the voices of the youth.

Education

Empower Youth

Education is at the core of our efforts. We offer workshops, training sessions, and resources to educate youth about their rights and responsibilities. By equipping young individuals with knowledge, we aim to build a future generation that values and upholds human rights.

Support

Guidance and Assistance

We provide a supportive environment for youth in need. Our services include counseling, referrals, and guidance to help young individuals navigate challenges and access the resources necessary for personal growth and well-being.
